Renault introduces One Pedal Driving, adding a fifth regenerative braking level that allows drivers to accelerate, decelerate, and come to a full stop using just the accelerator pedal. This Ampere-developed tech offers smoother urban driving, reduces brake wear, and maximizes energy recovery. It’s also retrofittable for existing models via a free update.
New Bidirectional Charging Options
The updated 11 kW AC bidirectional charger comes standard, with an optional 22 kW AC fast charger arriving in summer 2025. These chargers support:
- Vehicle-to-Load (V2L): Power small appliances like coffee makers or e-scooters using a 3.7 kW output, just like a standard 220V socket.
- Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G): Available in France, this feature lets you sell energy back to the grid, cutting electricity costs.
The Mobilize Power V2G ecosystem includes:
- Bidirectional AC charger (11 kW or 22 kW)
- Mobilize Powerbox stand
- Green energy contract (via The Mobility House)
- Charging control through the My Renault app
Plug & Charge: Simplified DC Charging
Scenic E-Tech Electric now supports Plug & Charge, enabling instant DC fast charging without cards or apps. Just plug in—the system auto-recognizes the vehicle and processes payment via My Renault. This works seamlessly with the Mobilize Charge Pass, which provides access to over 800,000 charging stations across Europe.
