Porsche is modernizing its in-car technology across the 911, Taycan, Panamera, and Cayenne lineups with a significantly enhanced Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system starting in the 2025 model year. The updated infotainment platform delivers faster performance, improved app integration, and smarter voice control—all while reinforcing the brand’s commitment to innovation, connectivity, and a premium digital driving experience.

At the core of the update is new PCM hardware, which allows for quicker system responses and seamless access to an all-new Porsche App Center. This in-vehicle app hub operates similarly to app stores found on smartphones and tablets, enabling direct use of third-party apps—including music, video, podcast streaming, navigation, news services, and EV tools—without the need for smartphone mirroring.

Porsche is also expanding voice functionality by integrating Amazon Alexa® as an optional digital assistant, complementing its proprietary Voice Pilot. Alexa enables voice-activated control of smart home features, media playback, to-do lists, and real-time weather updates. It can be activated via voice command or a custom in-system button.

One of the most notable enhancements is the introduction of Dolby Atmos® surround sound technology for models equipped with Bose® or Burmester® premium audio systems. This immersive audio upgrade brings studio-level sound quality to the cabin, placing instruments and effects in a 3D space for an experience that rivals live performance. Dolby Atmos-compatible streaming services are available through the new App Center.

To support long-term usability, all new PCM-equipped vehicles will come with a 10-year Porsche Connect package as standard, ensuring access to connected services and future system updates.
