Crewe, 25 April 2025 — Bentley Motors is marking its rich heritage of luxury handcraftsmanship by launching Heritage Leather into its modern car line. Designed by Mulliner, Bentley’s in-house bespoke commissioning department, Heritage Leather brings the classic look and feel of pre-war Bentleys into modern models, a subtle marriage of heritage, beauty, and sustainability.
The latest fourth-generation Bentley Continental GT Mulliner now comes with Heritage Leather, a perfect recreation of the Factory Works Speed Six Continuation Series—a commemoration of more than a century of Bentley’s legendary craftsmanship.

Heritage Leather: Bringing the Past and Present Together
Heritage Leather originally appeared on Bentley’s Continuation cars, including the Blower and Speed Six. The personalized leather is now available on Bentley’s newest lineup under Mulliner’s bespoke personal commissioning program.
Taken exclusively from Bridge of Weir, Heritage Leather accurately replicates the two-tone finishes and haircell grain textures of 1920s and 1930s Bentleys. It is now offered in two historically accurate colors taken from original factory records:
- Ox Blood Red
- Parsons Napier Green
To commemorate this artistry, Bentley commissioned a Continental GT Mulliner in Bedford Grey with Ox Blood Red Heritage Leather, connecting the appearance of the new Factory Works Speed Six Continuation to a stunning collision of nearly 95 years of progress.

Authentic Craftsmanship, Sustainable Materials
In the production of the Blower Continuation Series, Mulliner collaborated closely with Bridge of Weir to produce the leather as period-accurate in tactility and durability as possible. While produced by genuine historical techniques, the hides undergo the same stringent durability testing as Bentley interiors do today.
Some of the key features of Heritage Leather interiors are:
- Classic fluting on seats (as on the Speed Six)
- Plain embossed “B” badge on door inners
- New stitching, embroidery, and perforation techniques appeared on the Continental GT
Subtle variations of shade and highly replicated higher sheen finishes create an appearance of naturally patinated, aged leather, adding depth and richness not found in many cars on the road today.

Spirit of Sustainability and Excellence
Bridge of Weir is at the forefront of sustainable leather production, supplying the world’s automotive industry with the lowest-carbon leather on the planet. The company’s manufacturing process has an independently verified Life Cycle Analysis score of just 8kg CO₂e/m², a global benchmark for environmental responsibility.
Bentley Motors is also committed to sustainable means, requiring all its suppliers to meet high standards of water and energy usage, waste management, and chemical control. Bentley’s master craftsmen handle every natural hide with respect, creating interiors that can last decades—and even a century, just like the legendary Bentleys of the Cricklewood and Derby eras.
With Heritage Leather, Bentley reaffirms that luxury never goes out of style. Combining tradition, beauty, strength, and sustainability, Bentley interiors are a symbol of excellence—a benchmark that continues to guide the brand after 106 years at the vanguard of the automobile world.
