Audi showcases 19 models, with high-profile debuts of the A5L, Q5L, A6L e-tron, and the brand-new AUDI E5 Sportback.
Shanghai, April 23, 2025—Audi launched five groundbreaking new models at the 2025 Auto Shanghai, cementing its twin strategy in China in the electric and combustion engine segments. The premium manufacturer, together with local joint venture partners FAW and SAIC, is featuring a robust portfolio of 19 models at the exhibition, which runs from April 23 to May 2.
Among the headlining debuts are the Audi A5L, A5L Sportback, Q5L, A6L e-tron, and the much-anticipated AUDI E5 Sportback—the first production model from Audi’s new sub-brand tailored specifically for the Chinese market.

Driving Audi’s Next Chapter in China
Audi CEO Gernot Döllner described 2025 as a pivotal year: “We’re launching our strongest-ever model initiative in China, led by new battery-electric and combustion-powered vehicles developed with our partners FAW and SAIC. Our China-exclusive brand AUDI will open doors to new customer segments and cement our role in premium EV and ICE markets.”
